Happy November to anyone participating in Nano! I wish you the best of luck. I published a post on my Tumblr about why I'm not participating this year. You can click here to read it if you want.
The important part I've allocated below. It maps out how long I think the Sand and Storm will take me. I've done the math and I think I'm pretty solid on it.

My goals for finishing the novel are pretty straightforward. I want to hit 50,000 words on it this year. I’m at 10,000 words now. If I manage to write 15,000 this month I’ll be at 25,000 and then have all of December to write another 25,000. That does seem like a lot, but I have all of December off and I want to push myself to write. Then, for 2016, I’ll only have 150,000 words left. If I can write 15,000 words a month (about 500 words a day) I’ll be done in ten months, so at the end of October. So, hopefully, this time next year I will be completely done with SaS. Then I can spend next year’s Nano editing it hardcore. I think I can manage that.
